Suggest first thing is to update writer firmware. What drive is it ?

Geoff,
Thanks for the reply. I just bought a Sony BWU-100A for BD burning. I updated the firmware to no avail; however, when I removed the drive and replaced it with my LG GSA H10L it works fine. I use the whole suite of Sony software; Acid, Sound Forge, Cinescore, Vegas and DVDA4, all of them work fine (DVDA4 burns fine on the BD drive). Something in the CD ARCH software is conflicting with the BD. It is centered around the "sfcd" module.
I hope they fix the software or firmware, because I must have the BD drive for my HD projects. I am working with tech support on this one and will post any solution. Any more Ideas? Is Sony support watching this board?

Possibly not watching this forum as there is little activity. I take it that you have reported the problem to tech support explicitly fot CDA - the various Sonys don't appear to talk much, or even know of 'our' Sony's existance !

Geoff,

The problem is fixed. Tech support is great; FYI 5.2b is on the way soon, and something in the code fixed my problem. I believe the software could not deal with the drive for the new blu-ray drive. Thanks for your response.
