Help finding best render for Xbox WMP

I'm trying to find the best render method/codec for creating a 1440x1080 video file that is compatible with XBox 360 as a media extender and also plays well in Windows Media Player.

Source is almost always my Canon Vixia HF-10 giving AVCHD set at 1440x1080 256k audio.

When I render using Main Concept HDV 1080-60i
Audio: 256 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.97 fps, 1440x1080

I get a bit larger file that plays back well in WMP but is jerky in Xbox 360.

When I render using Sony AVC
Audio: 256 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, Stereo, AC-3 Studio.
Video: 15.0 Mbps, 29.970 fps, 1440x1080 wide

I get a smaller file that plays back smoothly on the Xbox 360, but will not FF. I can skip forward though. Playback in WMP is fairly good but if I click mid-way through the file, sometimes video won't display or is out of sync with audio.

My playback/editing compy is Win7 64bit with Sharky007 x64 codecs.

I'm not opposed to buying another codec if it will fix both issues.
