Help I cannot launch download demo!

I just downloaded vegas movie studio 4.0 (DVD) etc and it will not start. I got the activation codes by phone and now when I launch the program the following happens: I first see the "Splash" page (Telling me I have 30 days left) Then the software begins to launch but then I get the following error message: "moviest40.exe has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconvience. If you were in the middle of somethin, the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to us. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous. To see what data this error report contains, 'click here'.

I have tried reloading the software on my computer (after add/removing it).

Any help you can give me to run this program would be greatly appreciated. I have heard it is a cool program and if I could use it I might actually buy it too.

* I have tried redownloading the program (it prompt me to overwrite files that are already there, which is weird as I deleted the program from add/delete) and I still get the same problem.

It is Braden again. I was told by a tech. in a different forum section that this section would be the place to get support to work my vegas demo. Can anyone help me?

I get the same error, but I have the full registerd version I have updated the version to version 4.0a build 48. I have uninstalled the program completely and reinstalled the the software. Could someone please help?

Has MS ever worked for you? If so, did you change anything or did it suddenly stop working? Are you having problems with any other apps? If you start MS while pressing the ctrl and shift keys it will reset everything to the defaults - that might help.
