TL;DR — VEGAS Image hangs everytime I open it. I have a hunch that it's just not compatible with AMD graphics drivers, but I'm trying to explore any work arounds.

Hi everyone! My VEGAS Image (version 5.0.2.) software hangs every time I open it; The app freezes, and Windows declares the app no longer responding. This is an issue specifically to VEGAS Image; VEGAS Pro and Effects both open and work fine.

Just a bit of context: VEGAS has historically been... uncooperative with my PC. When I first installed VEGAS, it constantly rendered all videos and images with shifted colors, and any VEGAS products would crashed sporadically. I've researched it for a while, and found out that other people have had this issue since the AMD Adrenalin 22.7.1. drivers.

For now I've resorted to using the AMD Pro software and drivers. It fixed all the color-shifted renderings, but VEGAS Image broke entirely since I've started using them.

So far, I have tried, in this order:
- Reverting back to AMD Adrenalin 23.11.1 (no fix; color shift bugs in VEGAS Pro & Effects returned)
- Deleted & re-installed all VEGAS programs (no fix)
- clean installed AMD Adrenalin 23.12.1 (no fix)
- open VEGAS Image in Safe Mode (wouldn't start; "OpenCL.dll was not found")
- clean installed AMD Pro 22.Q4, then 23.Q1.1 with factory restart (no fix)

Nothing worked, and Image still keeps hanging.

For now I resorted to using VEGAS Image on my laptop, which still works (2022 Razer Blade 14 with Ryzen™ 9 5900HX).
