Help in masking

When i pull up the pan/crop window there is not a check boxfor masking at the bottom just "position" why is that? can someone please help

Does the "movie studio" version have masking? It might be a "Pro" version only feature.

no it's a vegas movie studio hd platinum, that must be my problem then,
