help modifying keyframes, please!

I am doing some rather complex text work in Vegas, and since there isn't a path motion feature or a way to independently color each letter in a single track, I have been using multiple tracks to make a single word (one for each letter). My question is, is there a way to make a single event (letter change) take place over ALL of the keyframes on a track? I have tried to select all, but it doesn't seem to be supported. Long story short, I spent 5 hours making the word "Celebrate" bounce out of the middle of the screen with multi-colored letters. Is there an easier way, or should I look into a stand-alone titling program? Thanks.
PS: No smart comments. I did a search already.

I found a great (and cheap) title generation (3d also) program from www.serif.com called Impact Plus. (about $80.00) You can very easily do what you are attempting to do and produce an AVI file that you can bring into Vegas. I am sure though that someone out here has keyframed all this before and help you out.

Scripts may also be a way to go. I haven't played with those much yet.

Perhaps You could make a title letter and color for each word. Then keep the title instance in the media Pool. Just change each letter as needed. Save the veg file for future use. then render it out. This way saving some of the hard work in later projects... Bring the avi into your current project. I bet someone using this aproach regularly could be very quick. Not an answer BUT Possibly the only solution/ Workaround unless version five .....?
