Help Please

I have a sony vaio laptop with a sony dcr-trv27 camcorder. The are connected with dv out and firewire in. I am using video facrory 2. My capture will not recognise the camcorder. I have tried everything in the help section. PLEASE HELP ME.

what you need to do is find a frtiend with a camera or try another at a local mom and pop.. to see if its your camera.. Has it ever worked before??

Kevin,
If you haven't already, update your software to Video Factory 2.0c. Go to the downloads and then updates area of the home page. That might help. Also, check the Screen Blast/Video Factory forum, do a seach as there may be more help there. Hope this helps.

Despite the movie software Windows will find it as a attached networking device.. Is it showing in the menu??

Thanks Scotty, yes it has worked before on another computer. IU am not sure which window it will show as a networking device. I do not see it it listed anywhere.

Thanks Stewart I downloaded the 2.0 c but do not know if I had to install it.
