help please , generated media tab icon doesnt pop

this is weird , im using vegass pro 8.0 finally and ive been putting together my hawaii footage. If i add a default text media into a video track and then click onto the ( generate media tab icon thats above Event pan/crop and event fx , it doesnt pop up into a new window so i cant work with the different font or colors. What did i do. It was working before. I feel that when i t was there i dragged it off the entire vegas page and might have lost it. Does anyone know how to recover it?, please help , thanx Chris

Where did you drag it? That's probably where it's popping up. If you have a secondary monitor connected to your PC and dragged it there, that's where it would be. That or you accidentally put it into one of the docking areas.

Wherever it is, when you click the Generated Media icon (on the event), you should see an area of color (depends on your display settings, but blue by default) streak way from the event. Whatever direction it flies, that's where your Media Generator window is.

You can also reset the program to all of its default settings, by holding Ctrl + Shift while starting up the app. Be warned, this also clears out any preferences you might have saved, such as Window Layouts and FX presets.
