Maybe somebody has an answer to this--
I've brought a .DV movie into Vegas, and everything seemed out of sync. I then realized that the framerate was all out of whack. I don't understand why this would be, however, because I had added no tracks or effects other than just 1 video and 1 audio track.
When I switched into draft mode on the preview screen, the framerate fixed itself.
However, when I sent the image through firewire to a Canopus box to a projector, the framerate went all slow again, and a message saying "frame recompressed" showed on my computer monitor. However, this DV stream is playing fine through ProTools.
What is going on? Why is Vegas slowing down so much? Could someone please help? I really need to do an adr session! (and the lips aren't in sync!)
