I recently had to format my harddrive and reinstall everything. After reinstalling Vegas 3.0c I had to manually try to recreate my custom rendering templates. This is extremely time consuming and not very accurate. Is there an easy way to export my rendering templates so I can easily load them back in if I have to reinstall again? I searched these forums and the best I can figure out is that I have to mess with the registry to do this. It doesn't make sense. Why should it be that difficult? Why can't your settings be in an ".ini" file of some sort that can just be copied into the right directory?
I did notice a directory with ".sft" files that are named after my templates, but copying these files into my new installation doesn't seem to work.
I hope I'm just overlooking something obvious. Is there an easier way? Sometimes I use VV3 on my laptop and it would nice to have the same templates on both machines too.
Thanks.
