Help replicator needs pair of DVD5 for DL and CSS

I have submitted my replicator with a master file made with DVDA 5.0b and burned the master file to a DL with imageburn.

Problem is that he can't see the CSS even if it was set when making the master and asks me to send the master again on 2 DVD-5 and burning with the authoring application to 1x.

How can I make 2 master DVD-5 from a DVD-9 project?

How can I burn these 2 masters with DVDA on 2 DVD-5 at 1x?

This is my first time sending a DL with CSS.

I just completed a similar project with DiscMakers, although my project didn't include CSS. In order to burn a dual-layer project to two DVD-5s, you will need to select Write Master from the Make DVD menu. Navigate through the various menus and you'll be able to turn on CSS in the Copy Protection tab of the Update Mastering Properties dialog box. You will be able to specify the output format -- DiscMakers requires DDP 2.0 -- and select the DVD-ROM type on the Mastering tab.

DVD-A will write the files to separate directories on your hard drive, one for each layer. You can then burn these with ImgBurn and verify the discs for peace-of-mind before sending them off to the replicator.

You may want to check with your replicator for required DVD burn parameters. DiscMakers required UDF and discs named Layer 0 and Layer 1, with the DDP files in the DVD root.

I did have the CSS settings right so that should be ok.

I did find the the 2 folders: layer 0 and layer 1 (I wasn't looking in the right directory)

So how can get the DDP in the root directory with imgburn? Should I use defaul settings with imgburn (write files/folder to disc)? Or I have to change it from Joliet to UDF?

I think they'll automatically go into the root unless you explicitly create a folder. I don't know what your replicator specifies, but for my project, I selected UDF as the file system on the Options tab, and then set Layer 0 as the Volume Label in the UDF field on the Labels tab.

That's the way DiscMakers wanted it, but you should check with your replicator.
