Somehow I managed to change the layout of my VMSP 7 screen. I was working in a Text Media Generator and managed to drag the field into a minimized size. In the process of trying to fix that, I got it all screwed up. Is there a way to return to the default settings?
Yes, fear not, we have all gone astray on occasion (lots in my case!) ;) Double click to open VMS and IMMEDIATELY hold down the 'Shift' and 'Ctrl' button before the program can open, and it will give you the option to put everything back to good as new :) Let us know if this helps. Cin
Thanks Cin. That did work I guess. Somehow it still looks different to me but at least I got back the windows I deleted. It just seems different. Maybe I am just going crazy (a distinct possibility). I could swear that previously when I opened the text generator, the window that opened had a little cross in the upper right hand corner that I clicked after I was done making my changes. It also seems like the window is somewhat squished (to use technical terms). Again, maybe I am just imagining things. At least your suggestion got me back to where I can see everything. Thanks for your help!!! I knew I could count on the forums.

It's quite possible that you've adjusted various windows and options over time to make Vegas be the way you liked it. Doing the Ctrl-Shift startup resets everything back to the original installation defaults. This means not just the stuff you messed up, but all the nice little changes you've done before that you liked as well.
Well I guess there is only one thing for me to do. Since I have to work to get it back to the way I had it before (and I have no clue how I got it that way the first time), I might as well go ahead and upgrade to Vegas Pro and see what I can do to screw that up.
Thank you both for your quick responses. I really love these forums. I have learned so much simply by reading them.
