Help - Video clip is pausing at the end

Hi all, I'm experiencing a strange issue with a video clip in my project.

Here's the deal:
I have trimmed off some of the clip at the end. When I preview the clip it plays fine and goes to black when its over - no issues at all.

Next, I have added another video clip right after the first one. Now when I preview the project the 1st clip stops for a split second before the 2nd clip begins playing. (and I don't mean it goes black, I mean the movement in the video actually stops)
I have tried exporting to avi and it does indeed exhibit this same behavior.

I have tried overlapping the videos so that video 1 ends sooner in case there is an issue with the very last frame of my clip but no matter where the two videos overlap I get the split second pause. This is driving me nuts!! None of my other video clips are doing this.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,

First, try moving the added clip out of the way and zoom in as close as you can to make sure there's not a stray clip (just a few frames) hiding on the timeline after the original clip. BE SURE TO CHECK THE VIDEO LAYERS ABOVE in case the frame is hiding up there.

Then check the clip you're adding (not the clip that plays fine, but the one you're adding to it) and make sure that that odd frame isn't hiding at the very beginning of it.

If all else fails, use the Selection Tool to lasso both clips and (and whatever else might be hiding on the timeline) and delete them both. Then re-add them.

Ok I will check those things. I checked the end of the 1st clip, but didn't think to check the 2nd clip for hidden frames at the beginning. I have tried re-adding both already but next I'll try adding a different clip as my 2nd clip to see if it works seamlessly.. maybe my 2nd clip is the one that's screwed up.

Thanks for the advice,

grisetti - just wanted to say thanks for your help. I found that it was my 2nd clip that was causing the problem so I captured it again using virtual dub and it came out in higher quality with no glitches.
