I took a DV clip, stretched it to play at 50% slow motion, added a fade envelope with several nodes to fade to black and back in, rendered it and the fades worked great. The clip had alot of fast motion in it so the slow motion effect was very jerky. So I go back in to do the same thing again and use the resample fuction to smooth out the slow motion. The slow motion looks great now, but the fades do not fade all the way to black now. The nodes are all the way to the bottom (100% bottom color which fades to black), but when I render and play in windows media player, it doesn't fade all the way to black. Sometimes it flickers and fades half-way to black. If I output to DV it flickers durring the fades and doesn't fade all the way to black. When I play the timeline, the preview window looks right and fades smoothly all the way to black. What gives? Is there another setting somewhere I am missing? What could cause this to look right in the preview window and not be right when I render to an avi file?? I've done it several times and I can't get it to fade to black now with the fade envelope. Any help would be great.
