Help w/delogo mask file-johnmeyer?

Hi all (especially johnmeyer),

VV4.0d, PluginPac adapter, delogo1.3.2, Photoshop 6.0.
Project NTSC DV 720x480.
Snapped a frame, per manual (saved as jpg), marked up (Photoshop) with pure red and saved as 24 bit bmp. Loaded PluginPac and delogo. Loaded mask to delogo and I don't think delogo considers it valid (Repair checkbox grayed out). The mask file is (according to both Photoshop AND delogo) 720x480, 24-bit bmp.

What are the requirements, other than image size, bmp format and 24-bit color depth, for a mask file to be considered "valid?"

Thanks in advance,
-Don

You need to save the mask as a 720x480 BMP file.

Here is other information that I previously provided to other forum members:

Well, John, I think that (saving as a bmp) is exactly my problem. When I click the save icon, I only get jpg and png as options. I have saved as a jpg, opened it in Photoshop, and saved from there as a 720x480 bmp. I think somewhere in that process is where it is failing.

By the way, I can do the whole job in VirtualDub; it works just fine. I just want to try to make it work in Vegas, which I much prefer to work in.
