Help with a VHS to DVD

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a Vaio Rz-56G which came with Click to DVD software. It just recently stopped working for me. I have Vegas 4 and was wondering if I can import my VHS videos from a VCR to Vegas?? MY VCR is connected by AV jacks but when I click to capture in Vegas it says no device detected. Can someone please help?? Thanks in advance.

You need a device between the vcr and the computer to convert analogue to digital.
Most DV or Digital 8 Camcorders will do the job, or there are Analogue/Digital Converters by Canopus, ADS and some other manufacturers.
