Help with Audio Clip

Greetings,

I have about 50 short audio clips recoded via Sony Vegas. When rendered, the file is inaudible (low volume). I go back on Vegas timeline, and the size of the waveforms is very small(the cause). Next I normalize the clip but there is too much noise. Previously, I could fix some problems with EQ. Can anyone help and let me the steps or chain of effects that can fix it. I have tools but limited skills.( BTW I also have Audition). Thanks in advance.

There really isn't much actual noise in your clip. Even normalized, the noise floor is <=-50dB, which is not bad.

If you are mistakenly calling the labial clicks "noise," the solution is to use a noise gate, or dip them out by hand. Not a difficult task.

Otherwise, you could use a more automated (and costly) solution like Izotope.
