1a: Constant Bit Rate
1b: Variable Bit Rate
1c: Variable Bit Rate can vary the rate so that low action scenes can use a lower bitrate allowing high action scenes a higher bitrate while maintaining the average. CBR uses ONE bitrate for all scenes.
