Help with Dynamic RAM in Vegas 5

Xcelerate wrote on 5/22/2005, 8:42 AM
I am quite accustomed to using Dyamic RAM preview, however, I have noticed that recently when a select an area (about 100 frames) and press shift+B, it will render about 3 and then stop. This has only been happening recently, so it may have been a setting I have accidentally changed, but I am not sure what. The RAM preview is still set for half of my total RAM, and my RAM monitor program assures me that while the dynamic preview is rendering, my RAM only drops about 5 megabytes and then the render stops. I still have plenty of RAM left! So, I am quite confused.

Thanks for helping.

Edit: Well, huh, if rewind all the way to the beginning and render from the beginning up some it works fine now.

That's a known bug (ask Grazie)... it happens when you have the Sync cursor turned on. The solution is to a) turn off the sync cursor b) upgrade to 6.0b (which I think says it has been fixed in the readme).

p.s. Grazie... does it look like it is fixed now?

Well, turning off sync cursor works, but I have Vegas 5b. Is there some other way to fix than to upgrade (I think I'll wait until Vegas 7, I really don't need much hardware support or nested projects.)

V6b cleared all that up! Poouff! Gone!
