Got a bit of a problem here and am looking for a workaround - maybe its staring me in the face but I can't figure it out.
I have multiple veg's for a project that I created for a customer about a year ago. Fortunately, I've kept their project on a seperate hard drive so I still have all the raw footage etc.
In all the files I created for them, I have generated text (normal default text) on the timeline (multiple text events - probably about 40-50 text events per veg) along with footage on a different track. Here's the problem, the customer is now looking for all the wording of the text events to be able to send them to a translator!!. The generated media is overlayed on a gradient background for effect so I can't use any other method for using the text.
Is there an easy way, or via a script to extract all the text to a file. There are gazillion text events and it would take me eons to get it all out. Also, once translated, can I import this again somehow?
ANy help here would be greatly appreciated
Edit: I notice that the text shows up in the veg file when opened with a text editor like Notepad (albeit with additional characters denoting line breaks etc) - would this be the only way to go???
Thanks
