help with HDC HS300

OK Im used to using a canon xha1 and an hvx200

i always shoot in 30p

this camera i do not find that

all i find is record mode (image quality) and shutter as low as 1/60 and iris

I don't believe the HS300 will shoot 30p. I am pretty sure it is limited to 60i and 24p, which is one of the reasons I haven't jumped on this very capable little camera.

guess ur right...manual on this thing is thin...it mentions 24p in cinema mode but only once with no detials....

guess i will shot in 60i then use these settings in vegas

Project settings
Field Order - Progressive
Deinterlace Method - Interpolate Fields

That gets you 30p out of 60i, Vegas does it in real-time

Then for rendering, just make sure you choose progressive for field-order if there's an option.

does this make sense?
