help with logo please?

Good morning everyone,
I have a logo with a white background (It is a .jpg the local community college gave me to overlay in a project I'm editing for them). Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the white so that only the logo itself shows (or where to find info in the manual)?
TIA,
Randy

If there isn't any white in the logo itself, you can use the Chroma-keyer effect to make the white transparent. If there is white in the logo then you'll have to use a photo editor to fill the white background with some other solid color that doesn't appear in the logo first.
