Hi, i'm sort of new to the art of dvd creation. I have been creating demos of dvd learning materials for kids with success until suddenly. Using DVDA, i have a fifteen minute mpeg2 as a main presentation, a sub menu with links to aboout ten - 30 sec mpeg2 clips, and another sub menu with two to three pages linking up to 12 - 30 sec mpeg2's. There is a 30 sec audio clip at each of these menus.
I have prepared an burned 5 different versions (all different mpegs, but same menus), and suddenly i am getting an error after 2 hours of preparing which reads:
the sub-picture or menu highlight graphics are too complex and exceed the dvd specification.

has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks.

yes, I am getting this too. It's a test DVD where I imported a subtitle file and made the font smaller (12) to get all the words on the screen. I used a stock menu and a fairly short mpeg2 file.
