Help with rendering

Hello,

Can Anybody help me with these two rendering problems?

First, When I render my Cam footage at 720x576 on PAL, it shows well on my PC (Cyberlink Power DVD, after using DVD architect), but on my TV the sides of the footage/screen are not visible on my TV. I use all standard PAL formats. Strange!

Second, when I render some footage renders vary shakey. I found out this has to to with the field order. But I use footage from different sources with different field orders. How can I set this right? Can I do this by just right clicking on events in my project and setting for example all the field orders to "upper field first"? Or should I tick "reduce Interlace flicker" on the event. Theoretically this should not be necessary since source and destination are in the same format.

Thanks!

Your first problem is "overscan" and is normal for almost all televisions. The image on the TV is displayed larger than the screen for a variety of technical reasons, so you won't see everything that was visible on the computer screen. Search for "overscan" for many many many more posts than you'll ever want to read.
