Help with Scrolling Titles

I presume this should be easy but I can't find the answer here in the forums, in the manual or in the help. The help is actually very good, although not very advanced.

How do I set up scrolling titles? I followed the example to create text but it doesn't scroll. I even figured out how to have it fade colors from beginning to end but not to show all of the text and scroll. I've searched everywhere and really appreciate someone pointing out the correct procedure.

Are you using Text & Backdrops / Credit Roll ? This should scroll automatically.

Excellent. I knew it would be something simple. No, I'd used the tutorial and they had me select "Text" and then one of those off to the side. I, incorrectly, assumed that "scrolling" would be turned on by some setting in the properties of the text and was looking all over in the properties. By going back to the first step I now see "Credit Roll" with all of it's attendant default choices. So simple when you're looking in the right place. Thank you very much.

I have a problem in credit roll in that all the options have left and right columns after the first two lines. I try to select a different style with the lines going all the way across and centered, but it won't take.

There is a button just to the left of the text field(s). This button can either be "Hdr", a single column of blue lines, or a double column of maroon lines. Click on this button and choose the type of fields you want for each line.

Good. It's working well. I can change from Header to subtext to dual columns. I can also add addtional elements at the bottom. I've read all of the supplied help so if I'm missing some vital reading please let me know (BTW, I'm still using the demo although the product is on order, I have a downloaded 100+ page PDF for a manual plus the "Show Me How", which is very good and then the "Help".) So, two more advanced questions:

1) Can I add lines in the middle? For example I added a title, a subtitle, a subtitle and then started into two column entries. Then I decide, before the two column entries, that I want to add another subtitle. Can I insert a line? I have the "Insert Text Here" down at the bottom but can't find a way to insert a line in the middle of the text. I could change the top line but then I'd have to retype everything in order to retain the proper order.

2) It seems that I have to add text one "block" at a time. I have a text file with all of the information. Is there a way to import that? I could also cut and paste things but again it would have to be one block at a time and it's probably easier to just re-type it.

The easiest way i've found to insert a line is to click on an existing line, Ctrl-C to copy, Ctrl-V to paste. This will dupilcate that line. Type the next text over the existing text. Of course, if you Copy a blank line you can paste that wherever too.

You can copy text from another window (such as Word or Notepad) and paste it. Usually it works pretty well.

That isn't working. I can easily grab the content and/or paste the content or change the blocks from one format (Hdr, 1 col, 2 col) but I can't actually insert a line. If I CTRL-C and then highlight somewhere else and try to CTRL-V it (or I found I can double click the right mouse button and bring up the actions menu) it will only modifiy the text in the blocks, not add a new line. If I hit enter it just moves to the next block. I can't find any way to add a block between two existing blocks, that already have text in them, without re-typing everything below that point. Not too big of a deal. It means I have to plan more thoroughly. thx. I look forward to other ideas.
