Help With Serial Numbers

Last month I purchased Sony Vegas Pro 8 and selected the download and physical shipment options. I received a serial number when I downloaded, but when I received my physical shipment it did not include the usual serial number card I'd been accustomed to receiving with my software purchases.

I am going to do a clean install of Windows soon, if I choose to install from the DVD copy, will I then just use the serial number emailed to me? Should I have also received another serial number for the disc? Your help in this matter is appreciated.

You only receive one serial number.

The disc is just a hard copy but the serial number will work after your clean install whether you install from the disc or your downloaded files as the disc doesn't have a specific serial number assigned to it, nor does the downloaded file. As long as it is a valid serial number it will work.

Even if you did lose all your numbers, you can get this information from the My Account - My Software link at the top of this page.

Although, i believe we've determined that the My Account / My Software page only populates when you register your software. If you haven't registered it, it won't show up there.
