Help with Split Screen Effect

I wanna do a split screen effect, but I want it to happen diagonally, is there a way to place the video overlay so it appears that way?

I haven't done this in a while, so I'm going by "cob-webby" memory, but I could swear there was a way to achieve this (or something close to it) using a cookie cutter diamond, by enlarging the diamond so that it is actually bigger than the screen positioning it so that the upper right edge of the diamond cuts across the screen from top edge to bottom edge. But I may be wrong.
