Just thought id try this out and see how it is compared to ultimateS, however after both sources onto different time lines, synching them up manualy, then clicking the tools/multicam/multicam editing option it shows only the top timeline in the preview window, it doesnt seam to split the preview into the 2 seperate cams, anyone any idea ?

cheers

Go to Tools - Multicamera - Enable Multicamera Editing or press CTRL-SHIFT-D

That turns on/off the multi-camera screen view.

I REALLY like being able to simply click on the appropriate cam for a cut or ctrl+click a cam for a dissolve in the preview window. Elegantly simple, useful and EASY.

I've used Ultimate S for quite a while and it is a great tool too but for this feature I don't see an advantage other than being able to look ahead on the timeline for possible scene changes.

Mike, looking ahead on the timeline is somethign i do use quite a lot, however one main thing i found a "problem" was that no markers are put in at the edit points, this is something that Utimate S has and when going back to fine tune edits is a godsend as edit points are instantly seen. if youve several edits ina short space of time it can be hard to see each edit and make sure each one has been checked if you know what i mean

the 'jhm_Markers_at_Media_Change_Points' script works perfectly for this purpose...email me if you need it.

Okay, I have 2 streams of vid/audio on the timeline. I choose multicamera and choose the events I want. Quick and easy. Alright, now I want to go back and spruce up the audio (4 tracks). How do I get back to the original view with all the tracks I originally had before I enabled multicamera mode. If I go back to Tools and deselect multicamera mode, it removes the split screen from the preview window but my timeline does not change back.

Can I get it back (with the edits made during multicamera mode)?

J Razz, if I understand correctly, you have ended up with one video and one audio track in multicam. If you want to keep the audio tracks unaffected, deselect relevent audio tracks before going to multicam. I that's not what you asked, sorry, too early in the morning.
