Help with Vegas Movie Studio+DVD 6.0

Im a begginer at all this movie editing stuff, i record my gameplay from a Xbox video game onto my VCR. I Purchused a Linxcel video grabber( usb 2.0 external capture device ). Vegas and no other editing software i have reconizes the video grabber. Can i put gameplay i have recorded on my VCR onto Vegas or does it only allow video cameras? What do i need to connect my VCR to my computer to get my recording onto Vegas 6.0?

You can put it from your VCR, but you'll need a converter box that has Firewire output so that Vegas recognizes it.

ADS Tech A/V Link or Canopus ADVC-110. I have the ADS A/V Link and it works great.
