Help with vegas problem... Please.

I have a question about Vegas video.

I have a vegas project setup in vegas. (800x600).
I have a bmp that I made, (let's say 640x480). I am going to use this for a green screen effect.
I have a video clip that I made (800x600).

Ok, so here is my problem. When I drag my bmp(640x480) onto the timeline, it fills the entire project area (800x600). I don't want it to fill the entire area. I want it to keep it's original size of 640x480.

i tried to right click the bmp and go to pan/crop at then I made sure that "Stretch to fill frame:" is set to "No".

Anyone have any ideas?

If you need more clarification, just let me know.

Here are some screen shots.

Project
Movie Pan/Crop.gif
BMP default
BMP - Resized position

No matter what I change, it always draws the "paw" at the full 800x600.

Any ideas?

Thx.

In Photoshop, create a canvas at 800x600 with a black (or transparent) background.
Paste your image onto the canvas.
Center or position as you wish.
Save in your desired format (Vegas will open .psd)
That's it!
