Help with Video Capture???

Hi. I've got Video Factory and (of course) Video Capture. I'm trying to capture from a Dazzle DVCII card. Video Capture "sees" the device, under the Video menu (shows the "Dazzle DVC II PCI Device"). However, it seems not to connect to it and if I try to "reconnect to capture device, I get messages (in the various parts of the window) "No Device" and "Unknown Resolution" and "No Capture Device, No device control".

So - my question is what do I do to hook up the program to the capture device?

Thanks!

I don't know about your specific card, but I had the same problem with a DVC-100 box. The answer from Dazzle in my case was that you had to use MovieStar to capture the video and then you can edit it in VF. My solution was to abandon the Dazzle altogether and buy a video camera with an ADC and firewire.

Hope that helps

Thanks. The reason I was hoping to use the DVC device was that it took in composite and s-video. However, capturing to Moviestar is getting me not sharp images. The preview is sharp, but the capture seems out of focus. Thanks for the input.
