Help with VV3 to meet deadline...

While I'm waiting on my shipment of VV3 to come tomorrow, I've been playing with the demo I downloaded. I have a couple quick questions I hoped someone could answer for me as I have a project due in a few days. ( I promise I will RTFM though...) I am doing the still picture made into a VHS tape thing where I take a pile of pictures and scan them in and do fades and titles and music and export back out to DV and copy to VHS.

1) Since I have this already installed and it asks me if I want to run the demo or put in a serial number each time, when I get the discs should I uninstall the downloaded demo first or just use the serial number to hopefully get rid of the "Sonic Foundry" frames that the demo puts it?

2) On a still picture where I zoom or pan in, is there a way to make this look better? It seems to look jiggly (for lack of a better word). The slow zoom motion is smooth but the picture doesn't stay clear.

3) When I put a photograph on the timeline that is not a 4:3 ratio size, VV3 seems to keep the aspect ratio of the picture in tact and put it on a black background. This is cool as I was using Ulead VS4 before and it did not keep aspect ratio. But is there a way to change the background color from black to something else?

4) When you have 50 or 100 pictures lined up in the timeline and want to shorten or lengthen the duration of one in the middle, How do you drag the end of the clip and have everything behind it fill in? Or is there another way to do this? Say, When I make picture #25 go from 10 seconds to 5 seconds by dragging the edge of the clip, I want numbers 26-50 to scoot over with it so I don't have to manually pull each one over. Make any sense? Any help would be great. Thanks...

Mark
