Is there a way that after I do a New Track Render . . maybe 30 mins of footage . . . for me to then edit the Old Track have V4 get what it wants from the New Track render and deal only with the edits I've made? Yes I know I can do a single Cut 'n Shut of the New Track, I'm talking about using the rendered New stuff "around" the Old track . . yeah? Or is this a totally dumb question? . . . It would make for reduced render times . . .

Just make your changes below the new rendered track, and cut holes in said track so you can see them. Re-render or Print to Tape from there.

Well actually what I was thinking about was a bit more than this . . . this is why I asked the question . . . Supposing I had several edits and shifted the pieces about and altered audio? Having V4 hunt for those sections that were "unaltered" would save a lot of time. DOes this make sense yet? - My apologies if it doesn't, I've been focussed on my understanding of underscan for the past 24 hours . . apart from editing a wedding dance sequence and . . best news yet . . I've got an in principle agreement to do videography work for an authority in London . . been a bit of a powerfully packed 24 for me . .
