Hey guys, new to the forums but been around Vegas for a year or so
Hoping this will be an easy question..
I am recording my desktop using OBS. I'm using the NVIDIA NVENC HVEC codec, and I have OBS recording two separate audio tracks. One track for desktop sounds, and the other for microphone.
When I get my file out, I can tell there is two separate audio tracks when I go to play it back inside a previewer like VLC media player.
But when I import the file into Vegas and drag it onto the timeline, it only shows me one audio track. If I look in the properties of the file, Vegas only recognizes audio track 1.
If I use the NVIDIA NVENC H.264 codec, it works exactly as I want inside Vegas, giving me the two separate audio tracks.
So my question is simple... is there a way to get Vegas to see the separate audio tracks for files using the HEVC codec?
I'm on latest Vegas Pro, Version 20.0 Build 214. Windows 10 OS, RTX 4070. Also should mention, I put the files into the *.mp4 format. They technically get recorded into *.mkv, then OBS remuxs it into *.mp4
