Hey SPOT, good book!

SPOT, we communicated earlier in this forum about whether your VEGAS book would be useful for for MovieStudio, a slimmed down version of VEGAS. I broke down and bought your book for $50 (incidently Barnes and Noble now have it $10 off on their web site), and it's great! I just read around the things that MS doesn't have, but your basic explanations of what's going on are very helpful. I generally like to understand the underlying principles of something and then how then to apply them. Good job. Also, let me know if you do decide to do a book specifically for MS.

I just got Spot's book this week. I just started reading it and I already like the style of writing and the info.
Definitely a must buy!!

Got mine yesterday. Love it, and I hate to read. Amazon.com. 35 bucks. worth every penny and more.

I'm no good at help files or how to books, so I got the same on DVD by Spot. A better way of getting there for me. Best deal is at Video Guys web page for $99 and worth it.

Geez, thanks guys! I appreciate the words. Frankly, I've been a little at odds with some of the book, because it wasn't as large as I wanted and yet I've received:
-2 mails telling me the book was way too difficult to understand.
-4 mails telling me the book was way too simple and should have been more professional-oriented.

I had to strike a middle, with a lean towards the pro, but I didn't think it was at all too simple.
The VEGAS VASST book is more 'pro' or at least finish-task oriented.

DSE,
"The VEGAS VASST book"? Can you please tell us about this book and where we might be able to get it?
Thanks,
Barry

It's not out as of yet, it's the book I've been soliciting input from this forum for. It's about half done.
I'm still interested in input for tasking, if anyone wishes to provide some input.

Modesty probably prevents you from saying how many e-mails you got telling you the book was excellent though.

Just in the first pages I learned about what to look for in monitoring set-ups, things to be careful about as far as cabling is concerned, and a heck of a good way to make an incredibly inexpensive microphone booth.

All-in-all, I'm sure you're very pleased with the feedback you've gotten.
