here is the video source
http://www.chienworks.com/media/vidfact/randini-worltocome.wmv

I wanna know how they make the nice transition during the time around 48-49 sec
at this video. it's really fantastic!
I am just thinking that it would be great if being used in the editing of
some live concert. visual and body shock!!

the author noted that it was being edited with vegas video.
I do my search in vv and find the closest solution maybe
"pixelan spicemaster transition." but it's not that same as the cool one
shawn in the video I post. so I need ur help indeed.

any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks!

That might very well be a Spice transition, they have many different patterns to choose from, some very organic. If not, it's something based on the original image being transitioned. It could be a luma or chroma-based transition. To do one of these, create a mask track using the image and parent it with the track you want to transition on or off, and put that above the other track. Use the Brightness Contrast filter on the mask, keyframed with relatively high contrast settings on one end that produce full black, and settings on the other end that produce full white. In between, you'll get high contrast edges that move across time, producing the luma-based wipe.

It looks to me like a standard Vegas transition, either Dissolve / Threshold Dissolve or Dissolve / Threshold Appear.
The first one keys off the luminance of the first image and the second one keys off the luminance of the second image.
