highlight issue

I have a png of a roll of duct tape that i'd like to use as the highlight (cursor) for each item on the dvd menu. However, i can't figure out how to put it on there and leave its original colors. I know how to make the png my highlight mask, but it makes me choose a color for it. I would just like it to look like the roll of duct tape. Any ideas?

DVD Architect Studio uses an overlay system for highlights rather than actual artwork. So you won't be able to use an illustration as your highlight. At least not in the Studio version of the program.

Are you using Studio or Pro?

Using Pro. Been studying on it for awhile and just cannot figure it out, the highlight issue, that is.
