Highlight not working on Main Menu

I have DVDA 4.5. I have a main menu, with several submenus. I am using Video buttons to represent categories like Vacations, Birthdays, etc. Inside those submenus I am using highlight masks, by doing Custom, changing to a good color and Intensity. On the main menu page no highlight or selection is showing.

What am I doing wrong? I am ready to burn the DVD except for this problem.

What are you using for your highlight masks?

Not sure what you mean exactly, but... I open the existing button mask in Adobe Image Ready. Then I use that to produce white for the area for the colors to show and black for transparent. It works fine on the submenu pages. Now, I can set Highlight Style to anything on the Main menu and it just won't show what's selected.

After much frustration, I finally found it.

On the General tab, the Selected Button Colors was set to None (All Transparent)

I don't know how that happened, but maybe this will save someone a lot of time.
