highlights blown out

I am using architect to burn a series of slideshows with a menu. The media was rendered as avi's, and when played in media player, they look fine.

However, after creating the dvd files all the highlights in the menu & the pictures are blown out, or over saturated.

Here is an example of what the menu should look like:

Any ideas why the program is doing this? Can I change settings?

I have the same problem and posted it maybe a month ago. Seems others don't have this trouble, but it's very real. I have to use Photodex ProShow Gold to get an excellent and playable still show.

I've no idea what's causing the problem, but I've a couple of questions - do you get the same problem if you use video rather than stills, and does it happen if you let VMS do the MPEG encoding rather than DVDAS?

Videos are perfectly perfect. VMS does the encoding to MPEG.
