With TV broadcasts and DV if you get an area that has highly reflective areas in it, you get a crawling effect which is quite off putting.
Is there any way this can be removed.
One can use hairspray, which is pretty funny when you have a client with a shiny bald head and you start spraying hair spay on it :)
Apart from that, no, nothing that can be done. Once it's recorded like that I think you're stuck with it. Moire is another problem that can only be addressed in front of the camera.
Bob.
If you've got a "similar" unaffected area you can use a remedy to cookie cut or even Bezier the section and using Track Motion and/or Pan/Crop cover the reflection.
I recently, successfully did this for Duncan here. He seemed pleased.
If you wish send me a "still" and I'll attempted to do something, no promises, with it. I'll send you back a Veg file and you can work it out from there. Yeah?
Unfortunately it was a pan of a city skyline with foreground on a boat, I guess I will have to remove it, and be more aware of the problem next time.
Thanks for the replies, at least I am aware it is'nt easily solved and better not shot in the first place.
