HiMat

Has anyone out there had any experience yet with HiMat yet? While Vegas doesn't support this format at this time, I'm wondering how many are aware, have experimented, or are enjoying this format. Currently only for music and photos, it's soon going to become a video standard as well, according to some of Panasonic's blurbs. Since many DVD players are already supporting WMV, this makes sense.

Given that already a few big names have put their moniker to it I guess where you're coming from is should VV support it.
Well I can see no downside to it. If the format takes off then great if not nothing lost.

But as I read the highMAT description VV can probably do it as is, just not as a formal process.

I've seen a preproduction model playing out 1080p off red laser DVD. Looked pretty good to my eyes.
