Hello, guys at Magix.
Until yesterday I used TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 7 to render my Vegas Pro 18 projects via Debugmode Frameserver. VMW7 gives me total and absolute control over the rendered video. With VMW7 I can determine the size of the GOP, the number of B and P frames, I can export markers from the Vegas timeline as chapters with their respective names in VMW7. Thus, my MP4 rendered with VMW7 have chapter markers when viewed on players like VLC Media Player. MPC-HC (Media Player Classic) and others.
After upgrading my PC, I decided to try rendering MP4 with Magix AVC, using NVidia hardware. I liked the result very much, and my coding time was reduced dramatically.
My suggestions for the Magix team to further improve Vegas Pro are as follows:
Render Markers as chapters and as I-frames on all MP4 exported with Magix AVC. Use the names of each marker as the chapter name in the exported MP4. Allow me to use the first frame of the first region marked as a video thumbnail. Allow to export MP4 with MONO audio, and as HE-AAC. Allow me to define the size of the GOP (Group of Pictures) and the amount of B-frames. Allow me to export each audio BUS as an exported MP4 audio track. Yes, I would really like Vegas Pro to export multitrack MP4. Allow me to choose whether the rendered file will be MP4 or MKV with other audio options, such as Opus, WAV, Flac, etc. And lastly, for God's sake, let Vegas Pro READ and EXPORT in MKV format!
These are my suggestions for improvements to Vegas Pro. I would really like these to be read and considered by the Magix team.
