So, I have lots of problems with importing HitFilm projects into Vegas.
The main problem is, that it takes FOREVER to load a HF-project (several minutes for an HD Video in MJPEG, that has not been edited, no effects, nothing! The selected portion in the HitFilm-project is only 1:42 min. long).
Just clicking on a HF-Project-File in the Vegas explorer causes a relatively long response time.
Then, if it imports without crashing, sometimes the audio is chopped and just wrong , even though it is correct in HitFilm, and if I import the source video file directly into Vegas it recognizes the audio without problem and imports the file quickly.
So I just wanted to know, if I'm the only one experiencing that.
Seems like the import-duration is caused by the size of the file (in this case 6GB).
And that affects also the loading time. I just can't work like that.
The 1:42 min. clip took 1:52 min. to import and it took 2:26 min. to load the project.
And that is only with ONE single HitFilm-project!
This makes the whole HitFilm/Vegas integration useless.
I seriously hope that will be fixed as soon as possible, because the way it is now it might be better to switch to Premiere+After Effects CS6. I tested the exact same thing there an the import time was 16 seconds!
