I never could get mine to work that way when I had it. It had crappy capture quality and would constantly lose horizontal sync as well. I spent quite a lot of time trying to get it to monitor video from Vegas, but never could make it do anything but capture. I finally gave it away.

Barely. I wouldn't count on it for anything serious, like for instance, if you have a lot of red or hues of reds in a shot...They might be bleeding badly, and you'll never know it. Then again, you might be surprised. I've only tested these, never actually used one in a real-world experience.

MMM, I think I'll just put it back in the box of old junk for now. the cam I'm using works flawless, why mess with a good thing.

If I remember correctly, either the firewire/USB 2.0 interface would intermittently "disconnect" during a capture for no apparent reason. Not very reliable for much of anything...

I think we sold ours for $20 on eBay, I still feel bad about that.

Bob! That is sooo funny .. . Guess who bought it? . . .

Nah only joking. . But when I started all this, only some 5 years back, I think, I was sooooo excited to get hold of one I actually drove 100 miles to the people who were the ONLY UK stockists! - 12 months latter they severed all connections with the Dazzle parent company . . ..

I had my connected to my Dell Inspiron laptop - it kinda worked and I did get excellent preview up to a telly - it worked for me. The only tip I can pass on was about the tiny "reset" thing - back very top? Ok, to Reset you had to have the low voltage power suppy plug disconnected at the Bridge, HOLD down the reset button, plug in the low power, wait till the lights went thriugh their flashing sequence and then quickly release the reset button! Hah! Y'knopw I futzed about with this for .. . er . . . 3 years? Seemed longer! Now I got an ACEDVio in my MONSTA! PC that I don't use either! All I use that for is the f/w socket . . . go figure . . ?

DAZZLE Bridge? It did remind me of that footage done in the early 20 Century about a bridge in the States getting caught up in a wind and eventually being blown apart - yeah I know, it was the frequency/harmonic motion set up by it swaying, and not the actual "speed" of the wind. Some things just are sweet to handle, and work.

Bob feels bad .. . ok!

Hey, if anyone wants to unload a Hollywood DV Bridge my way, I'd gladly take one.

My camera doesn't have DV passthru.

I had mine for about two years now and it works flawlessly....sounds like I might have a collector's item since it's the only working Dazzle in the world. Although I am happy with the output, I do plan on switching to a better box for input.

Yeah .. maybe if you peel off the Dazzle label. .it'll say CANOPUS underneath!? . . .

Grazie,

Do you want to sell, give or get rid of your Dv Bridge...I need to transfer
some vhs tapes and the people are not concerned with the quality. Just
preserve memory to DVD...HELP...I think!

You can email me at c2_3j at yahoo dot com - Or anyone trying to get rid of one.
