Has anyone ideas on copying old cine film. Lack of special optics means that I am videoing the screen from projector. Movies were basically 16 frame/sec so I am speeding projector up to 25 fps (Pal DV here)then intend to slow down in VF.
To maintain correct speed of proj. I am building a control box with vertical synch pulses from camera compared with a pulse per frame of proj. (a photo interupter) to control voltage to proj. motor.
Would be interested to chat via email with interested people.

I recently copied all my old family 8 mm movies onto video using my Sony camcorder and one of those copy boxes (essentially a mirror and a screen.)

My camera has two Slow Video settings. One of the settings was just right to eliminate the flicker caused by the mismatch in frame speed and video speed without adding any noticeable motion blur to the movie images.
