Hove you ever had this type of error?

I have just finished an editing job.
And I want to reduce the file size of the avi files used in this job.
So, like I always did with Vegas 3.0, I went to "Save As" and ticked
the checkmark to "save and trim media".
This of course allows me to delete the original files with all the
unused footage, thus returning more hard disk space back to me.

This is the first time I have used this feature in Vegas 4.0.
That may be completely unrelated, but I am now getting this error:

Warning: An error occured while creating the media file.
The selected codec does not support the current render settings.

I am using the normal default PAL DV template.
So any ideas whats gone wrong?
Thanks.

just tried it on a project and with no error - not a great help I know but at least it eliminates a common fault.

Here is a test that I would run....

First...try and save without trimming and see if you get the same error.

Did you start the project in the V4 beta? I had the same problem with my first V4 project, and with SF's help, narrowed it to that. 2nd - Have you tried saving the project under a new name, THEN "save and trim"? I'm working in NTSC, however.
