Maybe just typing "VegasAudio" in the messages so we can locate 'em with the "search" function.
I don't know, cause both audio and video concern me in this forum and I'm always interested in the audio solutions all of you guys give us here...
But it wouldn't bother me more than that to have to go to a separate forum.

Chicken/egg - It would be interesting (but I'm not interested enough to undertake the execution) to analyze the postings to ascertain the frequency of posts that deal exclusively with audio. I’m not talking about the endless threads (truly, no offense intended, Goeff) debating the pros/cons of separate fora, but posts eliciting or offering advice about VV and audio.

I have interests in both audio and video. My focus on one or the other runs in spurts (I’m on an audio kick right now), but, on any given day, I take interest in only a third or so of all topics (audio or video) I see listed on the message list. So, I wade through the messages and open only those that strike my fancy.

Could it be that wading through so many posts to find those concerning audio is so frustrating because, in reality, there are very few audio posts? How much activity would an audio only forum receive? Are most audio-only posters posting elsewhere, and, if so, do they make their alternative choice(s) out of necessity or out of sheer defiance of SF’s apparent recalcitrance?

I, personally, don’t care if the forum splits or not, but the intenseness of the debate certainly interests me.

For whatever it’s worth, the current forum is one of the more active of those I frequent, and some of the others are audio-only. Of course, that’s a akin to comparing apples and oranges, because there are very few software products (upon which to base a forum) in existence that can accurately be described as being among the most capable in both audio and video.

I must have lost my way . . . I started out chicken/egg, ended up apples/oranges . . . oh, well, I’m still down on the farm!

I bought vegas video becauseI saw that it was an easy and aweseom program to use, and I was sure to get into video stuff one day. But right now I'm doign audio and it is very hard to ask a question abotu audio when its getting bumped down within one hour by 7 or 8 video questions. Seperate forum for vegas audio???? well, at LEAST a seperate forum for audio in general and one for video.
Make it so you go to forums, then go to "vegas family" and then you get two options, Audio or Video!!!!
