How about switching OFF Preview "picture"?

I've noticed that having Preview Window "relaxed" I get a sharp and distinctive External Monitor and 2nd Monitor.

Now I'm doing this by keeping the Preview window in its LARGE size, obtaining a relaxed preview. Ok, when doing this, it forces a shortage of Workspace Real Estate - its kinda unnecessarily too big. This is, in itself, a bit silly, 'cos I'm ONLY doing this to achieve a look that I want but needing to invoke a feature that isn't necessary - meaning a LARGE Preview Window.

Okay, I have now come to moving over the Preview window, and "sliding under" the 2nd Monitor overlay. This works. BUT, I can no longer see the frame rates and all the other various very useful info - BUT most importantly is the ExtMon Preview Toggle. I kinda now have the ExtMon toggle switch "peeking-out" at me . . real silly! Sooo... bear with me good people . . it's coming . . promise . . . soooooo:

1/- An option for the Preview Window Video Overlay to be turned OFF - but the relaxed size being available

2/- ALL the commands that are presently on the Preview Window being transferred to Toolbar Icons and/or Key strokes

.. I have other suggestions too . .

LOVE VEGAS 6!

keystroke shortcut to toggle off/on 2nd monitor preview......I like that idea.

Hey, Grazie

A few more strokes than you had in mind, but if you right-mouse-click on either the Preview window or the Secondary Monitor overlay, you get a menu that lets you jump to the Preview Device Options dialog, where you can set a different preview device.

So, it's right-click, left-click-scroll, rather than a hotkey.

BS, yup forgot that one! I can deal with rt click . . . kinda. But a K/S would be neat to select and deselect 2nd Monitor OR ExtMon and have these combined into a "ALT+D" display change.
