How can AVC/MVC stereo be previewed?

The new Vegas 12 stereo template renders out an AVC file and an MVC file. My understanding is that these can be burned together by DVDA 6 to a 3D Blu-ray.

I've rendered the files via the template but not burned them. I'd like to preview first, but can find nothing that will open the combination as stereo 3D. Not PowerDVD12, not Stereoscopic Player, not TriDef3D, not even Vegas 12 itself.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I click on the AVC file and in some cases that opens as 2D, in some cases the file is not recognized, but in no cases does it open as 3D by opening the AVC along with the disparity data on the MVC, and I don't see any menu option in any player application to make this choice.

The reason I'd like to preview first is that Vegas 12 won't render a 24fps to this template except as 23.976. In the past with Vegas 11 I've noticed that this slight difference between the source and the render introduces double printing artifacts. When I change the project properties to 23.976 in order to render frame for frame, Vegas 12 won't render on this new template at all. I get an error message. (In Vegas 11, changing the frame rate in the properties did work for the direct to disc burn option, but I had to shift the sound track around a little to accommodate the difference).

Therefore, a preview would clarify before committing to a burn whether the 24 to 23.976 is acceptable or not. If it is not acceptable, then DVDA 6 is completely useless for creating 3D stereo with 24fps CGI.

What player allows that preview? And is there a template option I've missed that allows a strict 24 fps render for stereo? I thought that was a part of the Blu-ray specification.

Thanks.

Can you author it and create a folder that will open in PowerDVD?

I guess I could take it further that way. Was hoping there was something more direct that would work with the files themselves, without authoring yet.

I don't work with that feature yet, but you could author it as a Single movie and it should be relatively quick to check out.

For mvc base 3D Blu rays, the Blu ray consortia has secified 720 50p, 720 60p and 1080 24p (=23,976p) only. That is why both Vegas 10/11/12 from the timeline but also the DVDA 6 will create s3D BD-ISOs with 1080 23,976p only (and 720 50p/60p).

There is no way to change that.

If you wish to create other footage, then you have to use other workflows (e.g. AVCHD 2.0/3D routes or sbs-half/full routes).

Thanks for the specification clarification.

Then I need to investigate other ways to bring in 24fps as 23.976, rather than use the project properties. As experienced, rendering the S3D template from that fails with error message. Rendering 3D Blu-ray off the timeline with V11 worked fine after I changed the frame rate.

Maybe the issue is that I'm resetting the frame rate with the stereo clip pair alone, and should do so with each individual stream. In any case, it seems to me that V12 should handle this much more straightforwardly, as all I want is a frame for frame render rather than an interpolation over the time span between different frame rates.

This makes the subject thread kind of moot, I guess, as I only wanted to preview in order to diagnose a more important issue.

Using vegas pro 13 to editing 3D MTS files, and LG 3D monitor with Tridef 3D software which enable to show 3D video on the PC monitor after rendering.

My question is how to configure the vegas pro to enable see 3D display of the MTS files during the editing.
