Scripts don't see packages. However, a script can easily add all of the effects that are in the package but you'd have to add each effect individually and change the settings as needed.

@wron-as In digging deeper, I can see the "Packages" folder and I can go through the list of available packages. And now for the good news - starting with VEGAS Pro 23, a package CAN be added very easily. Here's all that needs to be done (but I'll create a full tutorial showing how to see everything as well.)

videoEvent.Effects.AddEffectsFromPackage("Name of the Package");

I'll show how you can find the "Packages" folder and go through everything in that folder to get the names of every package on your system. Then you can use the name of any package and add that. NOTE: This DOES require VEGAS Pro 23 as the option is not in version 22 or older.
